- All participants, youth and adults, should dress in Book of Mormon period clothing at all times during Book of Mormon Quest. Participants are responsible for their own clothing.
- 1 Book of Mormon period outfits. Can be a tunic (see pattern) or dress or blouse/skirt combo. Tunics should be at least to the knee and worn over a t-shirt and long pants. T-shirts with regular length sleeves and long pants should be worn under all costumes at all times. No tank tops, shorts, camis, or leggings please. Be sure clothing is loose enough to allow for movement.
- Belt: Optional but recommended. Can be rope, braid, fabric, etc.
- Shoes: 2 pairs. No flip flops or open-toed shoes/sandals. Shoes to be worn during all activities.
- Head gear allowed: Please make sure that any head gear worn keeps to the same true-to-period standards as the rest of your costume. Can be headbands, turban, scarf, etc.
- Be creative. Use what you have. Think simple and inexpensive.
- Clothing should be large enough to be worn over t-shirts and pants— and coats/jackets at night.
Optional accessories:
- You can embellish and personalize your clothing with period-appropriate trim, costume jewelry, arm bands, decorative braids.
- Add a shoulder shawl over the shoulder and secure with a belt or drape over head and shoulders. Make your sash at the waist extra wide.
